Parents are asked to vaccinate their children more often today than when they children. Many have concerns about the number of vaccines that are currently recommended by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), vaccine safety, and how to recognize a vaccine reaction and report it. If these are your concerns, this session is for you!

Attendees of this presentation will walk away with an understanding the federally recommended vaccine schedule and its expansion, what vaccine injury symptoms look like, and how to report to and search for vaccine reactions in the federal Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) that is jointly managed by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Attendees will also be given an overview of the federal Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP) and the federal law that governs it, Institute of Medicine (IOM) vaccine safety report findings, as well as informed consent protections contained in the 1986 federal law and its impact on individuals, parents and children and state vaccine laws.

Join us to become informed on this important topic as you make these important decisions for yourself and your children.
