Theresa Wrangham

Theresa Wrangham is the executive director for the National Vaccine Information Center (NVIC), which was founded in 1982 and is the oldest and largest consumer led organization advocating for the institution of vaccine safety and informed consent protections in the public health system. As NVIC’s executive director, Theresa’s responsibilities include the monitoring of and reporting on federal advisory committee activities that shape federal vaccine policy.

Theresa is a consumer reviewer for systematic research reviews and their protocols that are undertaken by the Cochrane Collaboration, has participated in the public engagement process funded by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) for “Pandemic” H1N1 vaccine, meningococcal vaccine, and Colorado’s personal belief exemption law, and currently represents NVIC in the CDC’s Vaccine Information Statement (VIS) revisions efforts.

Theresa currently writes articles for NVIC’s eNewsletter, has had articles published in Mothering Magazine, The Autism File, Age of Autism and Pathways, and has been featured in local, national and international television, radio and print news reports.
